Ntemfac Nkong Nchwete A. Ofege was born on the June 26, 1962 at the Bamenda General Hospital. He studied in Sacred Heart College, Mankon, Bamenda, and the Cameroon College of Arts, Science and Technology (CCAST) Bambili.
He holds a first degree in Journalism from the University of Yaounde's Advanced School of Mass Communication. Since graduating in 1986, Ntemfac Ofege has served in several capacities. He was the deputy Editor-in-Chief of the English News in the Cameroon Radio and Television Corporation, CRTV (1988-1989) and the deputy Chief of the Political Desk of CRTV (1989-1990).
He resigned his appointment at CRTV in 1990 in protest after being arrested and jailed because of the broadcast of a Radio programme on democracy and multiparty politics. He has also operated as the Founder-Publisher of Today newspaper, Publisher of The Times newspaper, Associate Editor of the influential weekly newspaper Le Messager and the Editor-in-Chief of Cameroon's leading newspaper, Cameroon Post.
He is currently the founder of United Media Incorporated, a media-development Common Initiative Group, which owns the City Business Network Radio and City Television. UMI publishes books and magazine (see www.postwatchmagazine.com). UMI also produces films.
Ntemfac Nkong Nchwete A. Ofege is a writer. His Published works (see Amazon.com) include; Namondo (Child of the Water Spirits), Hot Water for the Famous Seven, The Return of Omar, Growing Up, Children of Bethel Street, Prison Graduate with Boh Herbert and and with Excel Tse Chinepoh, The Adventures of Chimangwe.
He is also a scriptwriter and director. He produced and directed the film "To Kill a Killer," which premiered in 2006. He has many more films in the works. He holds a DEA (M. Phil) in Political Science/Political Communication |
