CMMC's Denis talks to Lolo - an aspiring actress based in Canada
CMMC: Hello Ma’am, this is CMMC, Camer Movies Marketing Corporation. We are a young private owned company promoting Cameroon’s film industry. It’s a great honor for us to interview you. Please kindly introduce yourself to our readers.
L.N: Hello, I am Lolo N-DESROCHERS, 31 years old, female born and raised in Cameroon now living in Canada. I have a passion for CINEMA and more especially acting & writing. I am fluent in French & English, smart and hard-working. I am currently working in the customer service section of a local company while studying journalism and creative writing.
CMMC: How did you get to know about CMMC Lolo?
L.N: I was surfing online some weeks ago, reading about some Nigerian film producers when I decided to try to find out about Cameroon’s film industry. When I came across your site it was like ..."BINGO!"
CMMC: The film industry is very vast. Which areas are you interested in?
L.N: I am interested in acting and writing scripts, why not?
CMMC: Tell us a few persons in the film industry who inspire you.
L.N: Actually I am a fan of Kate WINSLET, Cameron DIAZ and Gwyneth PALTROW.
CMMC: Talking about Cameroonian films, which ones have you watched so far? Which actors and actresses do you admire?
L.N: Hummm, now that's a catch! The only Cameroonian movie I can remember so far is "L'etoile de Noudi" that I enjoyed with Josephine Poufong DAGNOU that I really admired as an actress. Since then, I've not had the opportunity to watch any Cameroonian movie apart from "Silence on joue" when I was still living in Cameroon. I can't remember the names of the actors...
CMMC: It's a pity you haven't watched recent Cameroonian movies. Tell us what you would offer to help Cameroon's film industry if you were given the chance.
L.N: I would put my natural acting talent at your disposal. I would also play a role in the promotion and marketing of Cameroon’s Film industry abroad. I mean I really buy the idea of a Cameroonian film industry and I am ready to do whatever it will take to keep it up. You just make a request...
CMMC: Say a word to the people who have been working so hard so far to put Cameroon's film industry on the way forward.
L.N: I am proud of you guys; you are doing a fabulous, fantastic, awesome great job. Don't give up no matter what. It is a great thing to have put the vision at work. Please remember if there is anything one can do to be of help, if there is any idea for promoting the industry abroad in Europe or in America (France & Canada more specifically) please fell free to contact me.
CMMC: It's been a pleasure to have this short chat with you Lolo and we look forward to working with you in future projects.
L.N: Please come again, I am delighted.
